My mission is to make a drastic change in my life. To leave behind the dead end job and material things and see the country and maybe even the world!

ABOUT ME

I grew up in Lafayette, but wouldn't say I fit the typical South Louisiana profile. I have been fortunate to travel some. As much as I love it here, I want live somewhere else for a while. I am a laid back person who hates drama, but can be very excitable and animated. I love making people laugh and saying crazy things to get a reaction out of stiff people. I had a good childhood and I am very thankful for parents who raised me right. I am a very self aware person and tend to hold my self to pretty high standards of behavior. I love to share. Sharing ideas, material things, experiences, food or anything with a another human being is my absolute favorite thing. I have had roommates for the last 8 years and have really enjoyed sharing a space with people from all over.I also love a stimulating and thought provoking conversation. I have found that the best way for me to stay humble and open minded is to always be willing to listen and learn from someone else. And I'm usually good at getting people to feel comfortable to open up and talk on a deeper level, maybe even get in touch with your true feelings about a something.

PHILOSOPHY

I believe that only the present moment truly exists and therefore do my best to be completely aware and in the moment and not live entangled in thoughts of worries, past or future.

I read Chuck Norris' Code of Honor and found them to be what I would like to live by as well:

1. I will develop myself to the maximum of my potential in all ways.

2. I will forget the mistakes of the past and press on to greater achievements.

3. I will continually work at developing love, happiness and loyalty.

4. I will look for the good in all people and make them feel worthwhile.

5. If I have nothing good to say about a person, I will say nothing.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I am currently unable to host overnight. But I would love to meet up with anyone who is coming to Lafayette for lunch or a drink.

I am actually looking to move out of Louisiana soon. So what I am hoping is to surf to a few cities to look for jobs and possibly a room for rent so that I can relocate soon.
I love meeting new people and love the idea of making friends in the new city where I will soon be living!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I am brand new at this and am hoping there are as many kind and generous people and there appear to be that will give me a chance even though I don't have many references!

Interests

I am interested in learning/growing as a person, good books, good food, jogging, nature, laughing, guitar, writing, great conversation and am an animal lover (esp dogs).

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

One thing that I am very glad to be able to have experienced is white water rafting and hiking the Appalachian Trail.

I haven't had the opportunity yet, but I really want to skydive!

I could teach you how to cook cajun food, a little cajun french, or play guitar.

I would love to learn a foreign language.
