About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To visit a new country every year

ABOUT ME

My friends would hopefully say i was kind, funny and extremely good company.

PHILOSOPHY

The more you put into your life the more you get from it.
Smiling and laughing everyday will keep you healthy.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I am looking to couchsurf more often so that i can afford to keep regularly travelling. I am also open to hosting guests as I love showing people what Birmingham has to offer. Did you know Birmingham has more canals than Venice!!?

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have so far had minimal couch surfing experience ..... but I am looking to use it more often.

Interests

I really enjoy travelling - especially cities - and I would identify myself as a 'urban flaneur'. My interest in Cities started from growing up in Birmingham, one of the greatest industrial cities in the UK, and was confirmed by my extensive travels which have taken me to Rio, Berlin, Sao paulo and ended with me completing a Masters in Cities at King's College London. I have recently invested in a SLR camera and so I am hoping to develop my love of cities into my photography. When not travelling I enjoy watching documentaires, keeping up with current affairs, crosswords, scrabble, going to the pub and cooking and eating nice food.

Music, Movies, and Books

I find this section hard to fill in.... I am most happy with an Atlas, A-Z, cook book or a newspaper.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I've spent a day in San Pedro Prison in Bolivia (not as a criminal)but as a visitor after reading the book 'Marching Powder'.

I was part of a British documentary which led to a high profile politician staying at my house for several days.

Teach, Learn, Share

Please teach me your language. I am one of many English people who paid no attention to language lessons at school.

Please share your travelling stories.

Please teach me about your city, country and culture.
