About Me
Hi! My name's Jess & I'm a second year undergrad student from London studying Architecture & Urban Planning in Newcastle (North East England).
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I've loved travelling around Europe with family and friends since I was about 4, but soon I will be travelling outside of Europe to the US for the first time ever! I'm really excited about it, & I'm looking for interesting people to meet up with who can give me a place to stay while I'm there. I'm going to New York, Boston, down to New Orleans, Atlanta and then back up to Washington DC!
I'm also checking out a few universities while I'm in the US to see if I might want to live & learn there, so insider tips of places to go & what each city is really like would be fab.

Music, Movies, and Books
I have a really eclectic mix of fave music, atm I've been listening to a lot of Kendrick Lamar, Childish Gambino, Azealia Banks, Bonobo, Ghostpoet & old school garage... I'll listen to most things though! Afropunk blog is a big inspiration in my music tastes!
I went to Tramlines music fest in Sheffield in July this year & saw Basement Jaxx, The Sugarhill Gang & De La Soul - some of the best gigs I've ever seen.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Hmmm... I helped to organise an international camp celebrating cooperation for 2500 young young people in 2011 - that was pretty cool! I've been involved in a lot of youth work and I've also run a lot of workshops & campaigns for gender & racial equality in the UK.
What I Can Share with Hosts
