我为什么加入 Couchsurfing

When I first heard about Couchsurf, I immediately joined and made a profile because it's a great concept. However, I will not surf if I am traveling alone for safety reasons as a woman. I would Couchsurf with a friend but we usually decide to stay at AirBnB's. With that being said, I still want to meet locals in the places I'm traveling to for a less touristy experience and a more authentic one. I love to meet people from different places all over the world and learn about their culture + way of life. The Couchsurf community seems to embody the same ideals & mission I have of learning, sharing, laughing, and together making the world a more understanding and loving place.

Unfortunately at the moment I cannot host surfers because my boyfriend and I do not have extra room in our small NYC apartment. However, I can definitely share great tips/advice on NYC culture + parties if you want to know!
