Hello there!
My name is Jessie. I am 19 years old, and have always dreamed of travelling the world. Joining this website is one of my first steps to getting there. I am a full-time student at a university in northern California. I have lived here since 2009, but was born and raised near Stuttgart, Germany. Being exposed to these two different cultures and worlds, you could say, I have a great appreciation for different cultures and lifestyles. I am always very interested in learning about other people's lives. Culture is an aspect of life that greatly interests me, and throughout my life, I hope to get to be more familiar with many different ones.

I am a computer science student and have always loved computers and technology, and love learning about it. I wish to be a software developer in the future.

I currently live in a smaller city, and strongly believe that I am meant for a big-city life. I do enjoy the vast amount of nature here, but think that I will be happier living in a busy, big, energetic kind of city. You could say I enjoy living a fast-paced life.

On the other hand, I also enjoy relaxing and just appreciating life's little things. I like to draw, on paper and digitally. I also like reading, especially fantasy books. Some of my favorites are about the supernatural life.

I like living life with a lot of humor. I like to have fun and look at the brighter side of things. If it has comedy in it, I am prone to like it.

I am a very very liberal person, and am accepting of pretty much all lifestyles.

If you are still reading at this point, just know that these are all small parts of my personality in a very short amount of writing. I am a very complex person, and would love to connect with anyone! So please, I'm super friendly and open, get to know me :)

Due to the fact that I am a student, I live on a tight budget, which doesn't allow for much traveling to be done at this time, so couchsurfing would be the best opportunity for me. I also love to meet people and learn about different cultures and lifestyles, as mentioned in my "About Me". Couchsurfing seems like the best opportunity for meeting new people and getting to know the world on a much deeper level.

I love technology. I am a computer science student, learning programming and everything I need to know to become fluent in the field of computers and technology.

I enjoy watching movies and tv shows as well as reading. I enjoy both of these things when they are comedic and about the supernatural life (Supernatural is my favorite show!).

I also love photography, especially of nature. I haven't had a great camera, so I mostly do this on my phone. I'd like to buy a nice camera in the future though.

I like drawing and art a lot too. I sketch most of the time. When I have a piece of paper (or maybe even a computer) in front of me, I will most likely doodle a bit :)

Music: I love alternative rock and pop music. Some of my favorite bands/singers include Hedley, All Time Low, Avril Lavigne, The Zolas, Eminem, and similar music.

Movies/TV shows: I like romantic comedies a lot. I really like the Hunger Games (some of my favorite books as well). I like fantasy stuff, too. My favorite show is Supernatural but I have watched A LOT of shows of many different genres.

Books: My favorite books are fantasy books. I really like the Percy Jackson series, the Twilight series, the House of Night series, and other similar books.

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

I moved from Germany to California (over 5,500 miles!) with only one suitcase, which was mostly filled with clothes. I had to leave almost all of my belongings in Germany, and start a whole new life. I didn't speak much English growing up, so I had to get used to the language as well as the culture. I adjusted well and good very good marks in school right away. I think getting through all of this and coming out on top is an amazing things, which I am very proud of.

I love to learn about cultures and technology. I want to learn many languages throughout my lifetime and learn about as many different lifestyles as I can.

I like to share what I have experienced and teach others about anything they are interested in.
