My name is Jessie, I'm an experienced traveller originally from the UK. I love rock climbing - if anyone can show me some good spots, I'm an excellent belayer! I've climbed around the world, in Croatia, Spain, the UK, and now Australia! I've also trained in MMA, Brazilian Ju Jitzu and Judo.

Warum ich bei Couchsurfing bin

I've been studying in Sydney for a semester, and now I'm looking to travel down the East Coast over about 2 weeks. I'm on a tight budget, but I can offer great cooking and interesting conversation!
I'm looking to meet interesting people as well as see some local spots, off the beaten track. If you can offer a bed/sofa/sleeping mat/floor, I would be eternally grateful!

Musik, Filme und Bücher

Music - I'm a big fan of reggae, old school jazz, and acoustic. But I honestly love anything that you can sing along to.
As for movies, the Psychology student in me loves thrillers, psychological or philosophical films - something you can really get into.
My favourite books are A Short History of Nearly Everything, by Bill Bryson, and The Psychopath Test, by Jon Ronson.

Eine tolle Erfahrung, die ich gemacht habe

This is a tough one, I've been lucky... I flew a plane when I was 16. More recently, I fired a shotgun off a mountain in Queenstown - I met some cool people, and they invited me along to a casual clay pigeon shooting session. The sunset, the remoteness, the sheer randomness of it - that was pretty amazing.

I've learned more from people I've met travelling than I ever learned from anyone I've met in a classroom. Enough said really.

I love cooking back home, but grocery shopping in Sydney hasn't allowed me much room to experiment... I'm tidy, very considerate, I'm afraid I can be a granny when it comes to sleep - I can do the occassional night out but I love a few drinks in a pub and an early night!
I also love meeting new people, seeing new things, and am up for whatever! So if you're looking for someone to share a fun few days with, I'd love to meet you.
