About Me

I'm a 25 year old South African who's been born and raised on the beach, under the sun, and in the sea. Now, I live in the Nordics(!) and am trying to figure out if Father Christmas is real after all. I work for a Finnish tech company, and I focus on international expansion.

This means that I've lived in Sweden, Finland, Estonia, and now Denmark in the 9 months that I've been here.

My fiance is Danish, and I'm currently trying to learn the language here.

I love to read, run, and explore when I'm not working. I love people, adventures, and learning about different cultures.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Why not?

I love being able to share dialogues with like minded people. It's a privilege for me to live in an amazing apartment in the centre of Copenhagen, and it's a wonderful opportunity to invite people in.

Plus, it's far easier to do Couchsurfing in Europe than in Africa ;)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

My mum, sister and I went to Lady Elliot Island on the Great Barrier Reef.

We were so lucky: we were the only guests on the island.

One morning I woke up with my mom at 6am, and we donned our snorkels and went straight out. We were surrounded by colours and variety of fish that you just don't see very often. One even swam into my mask. After the schools passed it was us and two turtles - swimming and sharing the space together with no one else around.

Magic.
