About Me

I have as many names as the languages I learned: Jessie, تسنيم(tasneem), 心瑜(Hsin Yu)
I've just graduated from the medical school in Jun.2019. Most of my summer and winter vacation were on traveling. Because most of my financial support were from my part-time job every weekend in school time, I'm on low budget to try to see this world as more as possible. Now, it's my Gap year that I choose to study Arabic in language school in Oman for 8 months and to travel around the rest of 4 months. I love hand drip coffee more than alcohol, cooking since I'm really a foodie, trekking, rock climbing, yoga, photography, good conversation and of course traveling. For me, traveling isn't just a relaxing vacation or fleeing from stressful work, it's part of my life. I'm adventurous and contemplative that I prefer those roads less traveled to enjoy the unique experiences. In actually, I don't really like crowded tourist spot. Sometimes, I just stroll on the street or visit places not famous or even not beautiful as I want. I just like something new and different!
I would say that I'm a better listener than a speaker. I like to listen to other's stories and practice to share mine. I'm kind of shy on the first meeting and gradually become talkative:)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Because of my a little shyness, I hesitate to join couchsurfing community for so long. I used to meet travelers at hostel but I think CS maybe a better way to get to know local people.
Culture exchange and exposure to diverse perspectives are the best way to make the world more tolerant and peaceful. I look forward to meeting some amazing, interesting, and quirky people and learning to see through their eyes.
Also, another realistic reason is the budget.
