About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Traveling mainly NYC. I arrived on 15th June. Heard about CS and thought great - wish i knew earlier. I want to see as much of the city as possible. I am here until 15th Sept and hope to do and see everything that NYC has to offer.

ABOUT ME

My first overseas trip was December 2009. I spent 3 weeks in Thailand and 1 week in the Philippines. I traveled with my sister which was great, but after returning to Australia I had the travel bug bad and straight away started planing my next trip - to NYC!! I arrived in USA 15th June and will be here for 3 months (until September). I am for the most part traveling alone which is why when I heard of couch surfing I thought it would be a great way to meet locals who love to share their city. I am 28 yrs young! I work in hospitality as a cafe manager and my main position is as barista (espresso coffee).

I hope to continue traveling in the next year. My next destination will be Europe, in particular the Netherlands (I am half dutch), Spain and Italy. I am a drug-free animal lover and also a really good cook (so I have been told). I really enjoy cooking for friends and also love tying foods from all over the world. I love Persian food and also Italian food. I love to party, dance and explore NYC and the world meeting interesting and funny people. I love to laugh, especially at myself.

PHILOSOPHY

I take each day as it comes. I don't stress the small stuff, make each day count, get into it and enjoy life!!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I heard about couch surfing a week ago. I had never ever heard anything about it before arriving in USA. Since finding out about it I have told several friends back home in Australia who also didn't know about it and are now realising there is ways of traveling without having to break the bank and meet locals. Also great to meet other travelers, sharing stories and getting advice. I think CS is such a great organisation. I hope I get to experience my first couch surf soon :)

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Just joined a week ago. So any day now I'm hoping to have my first surf. My friend who recently surfed in USA had a great time and made 2 new REAL friends!!

Traveling to NYC!!
Riding a pony up the side of and into a volcano in Manila, Philippines was so amazing.
Also hot air ballooning over Melbourne was spectacular!!

Teach, Learn, Share

I'm good at cooking for people and I enjoy sharing my cooking skills and love to learn new dishes. I love to hear other people's stories about how they came to be where they are today..
