CURRENT MISSION
My only mission in life is to actually LIVE
ABOUT ME
Hi!
My name is Jessica MacDonald, most of my friends call me Jes or Jessie. I was born and raised in Santa Cruz California, a little surf/ beach town in Northern Cali, where I spent the 1st eighteen years of my life. I moved to Los Angeles shortly after my eighteenth birthday and lived there for three years. I eventually decided that the way of life in Los Angeles didn't suit me. At this time I moved back to Northern Cali, San Francisco, California, where I finished my education at San Francisco State University and obtained my degree in Psychology. I ABSOLUTELY fell in love with San Francisco and probably would have stayed there forever, but I was finished with school and wasn't sure what I wanted to do next, when I came to the realization that if I wanted to travel, which I DESPERATELY wanted to do, now would be the time. For the last 12 months or so I have been living as as a vagabond... to a lesser extent, hopping around California staying with friends, working for friends and somewhere in the mix found myself in Queensland, Australia, where I have been living for the last 9 months.
My work visa is up in Jan and before I go, my brother, bestfriend and I will be traveling along the east coast of Aus, starting in Sydney and working our way up to Cairns. For the most part we plan on staying in hostels but I found booking hostels in Sydney over NYE near impossible so I though I better try my luck here!
PHILOSOPHY
"Life is a mystery to be lived, not a problem to be solved."
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Oh, I'd be your friend for life... I hope you're cool with that?
Also, once I find myself back in California, I hope to return the favor by lending my couch to some new friends:)
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I don't really have any real experience couch surfing. My friends have helped me with places to stay here and there but as far as staying on the couch of a complete stranger... I have done it once and it happend to the most helpful experience of my life!
Interests
*I love art, observing art and creating art. My mother is an artist along with much of my extended family, on both sides and though I wouldn't consider myself an artist, sketching is one of my favorite ways to spend my time.
*I love physical activity such as hiking, running biking and swimming. pretty much doing anything that involves being outdoors and exerting energy.
*I absolutely love to play and laugh, it's a very strong child like quality I have but one I value immensely.
*I love discovering new music, going to concerts when I can, cooking, reading, TRAVELING, meeting new people and having new experiences.

Music, Movies, and Books
*Was never all that into movies until recently. I love comedies.
*Where I lack in movie knowledge, I make up for in music. I could give you a list but it would be never ending.
*Books: Fiction stories are great but my favorites are biographies. I also love to learn, educational books on hobbies or interests of mine are ones I also value.
