ABOUT ME

Hi, I'm Jessica. I currently live in Bucheon, South Korea but am originally from Toronto, Canada, where I lived for most of my life.
I work in Korea as an English teacher and also do work on the side as a stylist and makeup artist.
I love to travel, which is the reason I came to Korea. Prior to coming to Korea, I hadn't traveled outside of Canada and the U.S., something I am now quickly trying to remedy.

I do have a couch availabe, but am a little ways from Seoul. There is a direct bus from my place though, and I'd be happy to show people around.
Otherwise, I'm hoping to meet some great new people on this site and continue to have fun, share stories and create new ones.

PHILOSOPHY

My personal philosophy is to live and be the best you can be. I genuinely feel that there is no need to stress over the little things, and that helping someone else will inevitably help you... even if it's a little ways down the road.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

So far I haven't stayed with anyone on CS, but I have traveled lots to stay with friends in other places (mainly the U.S.)
I've always loved traveling and staying with new people. It's a great way to make new friends.

兴趣

I am extremely interested in art and design. I studied costume, makeup and stage design in University and have always been captivated by all things aesthetic (nature included).

I also love music, dancing (salsa, swing, other), live performance, hiking, skiing, and reading.

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

One amazing thing I've done in my lifetime is to come and teach in Korea. I didn't think much of it at first, but can tell that even just being in my school, is helping to change the way my kids think and view learning.

I love to cook and study about healthy living. I am constantly learning new ways to improve my health and well-being and love sharing what I know with others.
