About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To live out my dreams - and then create bigger ones!
ABOUT ME
Tall and dark with an infectious laugh.
Adore exploring, adventuring and discovering. I ask myself every day "Why wasn't I born as Lady Lara Croft?" She's so badass and I'm obviously not as I aspire to be like a video game character!
Always reading, learning and forming different thoughts and opinions on the World we live in. Living in rural Uganda in Summer 2013 completely changed my whole being, for the better.
I now always look to travel with involving some sort of charity or project that I can volunteer at for several weeks, whilst at the same time exploring the surrounding area, living like a local and helping out people who truly deserve it.
Oh and I'm very against animal captivity! A subject which angers me quite a lot...
PHILOSOPHY
I think my purpose of living on this planet is solely to help others who are less fortunate than me and more in need.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I hope to use this online community to meet and connect with like-minded people from across the world. I'd love to host people visiting Wales at my home, whilst I'd also appreciate the opportunity to stay with hosts and get shown the area that they know so well.
Interests
First and foremost, travelling is my main interest - of course it is, why would I be on couch surfing otherwise?! I think about my past experiences abroad, or what I'd love to experience and accomplish in the future several times a day.
I have to read a lot for my degree at the moment, but regardless I enjoy a lot of reading in my spare time just for pleasure. I have read a huge variety of books from 'The Book of Tea' which was a very interesting look in to the lives of the Japanese and how they surround their selves with tea to create a greater well-being. It opened my mind and taught me a lot about the Japanese culture. To reading Bear Grylls' autobiography and wishing I had the right fitness and mental attitude as he does to complete some truly rewarding tasks.
On my days off I usually go to a tanning salon, take a walk around my neighbourhood, watch some films, catch up with friends at the cinema, or visit a new restaurant nearby!

Music, Movies, and Books
I love psychological thrillers. Some odd story line with a quirky, unsuspecting finale; One Hour Photo. I also really enjoy black comedies; Snatch, In Bruges, Pain & Gain. Other favourites of mine include Gia, Girl Interrupted, Monster, Jarhead, The Hurt Locker, SALT, Tomb Raider, Jungle Book, Monsters Inc and the ever inspiring, beautiful story of Into The Wild.
When it comes to music, a little bit of everything is good for my soul. However, rock and rap are the main loves of mine. Everything from Motorhead to Mac Miller can be found on my iPod.
I have fallen in love with reading all over again. My Kindle is heavily stocked with different books ready to be read whilst I am on a plane, bus, ferry or train to some destination. My favourite book would have to be Mr. Nice. I recently purchased Nelson Mandela's 'Long Walk To Freedom' but have yet to read it.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I think one of the highlights of my twenty two year old life is when I white water rafted down the River Nile in Uganda. What an experience! I am now hooked - it's my number one sport!
Teach, Learn, Share
Knowledge is power.
Never stop learning.
Sharing stories is what inspires me to create my next adventure...
What I Can Share with Hosts
I can share the beauty of Wales with whoever visits this incredible country; it's soaked with history, culture, beautiful landscapes and cute little towns across the land. I know the best castles, mining pits, villages and foods to try which will make your experience that extra bit personal.
