Overview
About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To travel the world and have fun doing it. Also to meet cool people and eat delicious food.
ABOUT ME
We (Mat and Jess) have been together for four years and have a shared passion in travelling and exploring the world. We met doing an improvised soap Opera called "Drunk on Monday" performed on Thursdays. We moved to Berlin to experience living in another country, to learn some German and to visit Mat's family (his grandparent's emigrated after Wolrd War II).We are also doing some travelling while we are in Europe and hope to explore a few more places before heading back to Calgary in the summer of 2011. We love eating, cooking, good books and great conversation.
PHILOSOPHY
To make the most of the opportunities you have, to live for today and to try everything twice.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
We want to participate in the CS Project by surfing couches, hosting people in our home (once we get back and settled this summer) and encouraging people to travel to Western Canada!
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
We have not yet had the pleasure of a couch surfing experience but we have had many friends who have surfed all over the world and welcomed surfers into their homes and have had nothing but positive things to say about Couch Surfing. We are excited to become a part of the CS community.

Teach, Learn, Share
We hope to share a little bit of what it is like to live in Western Canada as it is not the hottest travel destination. We hope to learn from other cultures, their stories, ways of life, new tricks for opening beer bottles, the works. We love to learn new things!
