Hi! I'm Jess. I'm from the US. I lived in Montevideo, Uruguay and taught English there from February 2021 until December 2022. I also lived in New Zealand on a working/holiday visa from March 2023 to March 2024. I studied screenwriting and also human resources in Pittsburgh, PA. I have a cute black cat named Mate :)

Currently I have a work and holiday visa for Australia and will return there on 29 October.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I met my best friend in Uruguay with Couchsurfing. I've met nice people through this app and I like that I can connect with others while traveling. I'm not super outgoing in big groups, but I like that I can find people to meet individually or in small groups on here. I love learning and experiencing new cultures as well as sharing mine.
