Overview
About Me
I'm going on year seven of living in Washington, DC. I was a philosophy undergrad and studied Deaf Studies at Gallaudet University for my MA, where I now teach. Looking to do some more domestic and international travel now that I'm no longer in school, and have a touch more free time on my hands.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I want to travel more. Meeting people from all over has been a great way to experience the world and I'd like to do more of it. Providing and receiving hospitality is one of the rays of sunshine in a sometimes dark world.
Interests
- reading
- traveling
- biking
Music, Movies, and Books
I'm embarrassingly unfamiliar with pop culture. Unembarrassingly, my favorite movie is Matilda, hands down.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Amazing? I'm not sure I can recall one as everyday in my life is some kind of bizarre adventure.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I'm fluent in American Sign Language, and would be more than happy to teach a few signs here and there. I studied philosophy so I can talk about most topics with a vague understanding, and am a professor by vocation, so I have plenty of teaching and stories to share with anyone who wants to learn.
Countries I’ve Visited
Canada, Cayman Islands
Countries I’ve Lived In
