About Me
Hey everybody!
I'm a Mexican photographer and dancer. 24 y/o. (Here are my pictures: https://www.instagram.com/jesusreybal )
In 2017 I studied abroad in Brussels, Belgium. During this time, I traveled and met people from all over the world and from so many different cultures. And the best part was getting to know their culture, learning languages and of course travelling.
During my last two years of university, I was part of a intercultural association that helped foreign students to adapt and grow used to the Mexican culture (and of course, of Monterrey). Ever since, I long to keep meeting people from all over, make new friends and getting to know better our world.
I'm very interested in the fields of arts, photography, languages, cultures, international affairs, naming a few topics. I like to walk around the cities I travel to, and most of the time I'm aiming at the stories the cities tell.
It's all about perspective.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I think it's really important to get to know the differences and the similarities we all have as humans, depending on our cultures, knowledge and things we have passed through to understand better how the world is different for everybody.
Also, it's really important to share a glimpse into our cultures because we only know from the foreigns' cultures what we see in media and what we are told by people. So it's our task as humans to clarify things for better understanding and break the stereotypes we all have from all cultures.
That's one of the reasons I'm on Couchsurfing: to share my thoughts and culture.

Music, Movies, and Books
Mainly I listen to classical and contemporary compositors like Ludovico Einaudi, Ólafur Arnalds, Yann Tiersen, Max Richter, Ryuichi Sakamoto, etc. but I also enjoy listenting to rock, alternative and some pop music like John Mayer, The Beatles, All Time Low, Taylor Swift, Coldplay, etc.
As for my favorite movie it's more difficult to say but I always go for Amelie Poulain (2001) but I also love 120 Battements par Minute (2017), Goodbye Lenin! (2003) Big Fish (2003), Interestellar (2014), Inception (2010), Die Mitte der Welt (2016), A Separation (2011), Star Wars and Harry Potter and the list goes on...
I love reading, some of my favorite books are The Alquemist, The Shadow of the Wind, 1Q84, The Stranger, Memories of a Geisha, The Giver, The Little Prince, Harry Potter, A hundred years of Solitude, and many more.
Videogames are also a big hobbie for me. All time favorite sagas are Fire Emblem, The Legend of Zelda and Pokémon.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Some things I can think about is that I'm always performing at venues. It's great to share my dancing passion.
I freeze time with my camera!
Working in a small farm in Feldkirchen, Austria with llamas, goats, chickens and ducks.
I tend to lose myself everywhere but sometimes is bad or good luck and I end up having great stories to tell!
Teach, Learn, Share
One of my life goals is to become a polyglot (and maybe a translator), so help to practice is appreciated. I can help with your Spanish, and a thing or two about photography, dance and more.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I can offer nice company and interesting thoughts and chats, listen to what people have to say, and share some stories. Talk about storytelling, huh!
I like to mix things while cooking so Mexican food and customs.
