ABOUT ME

I play drums in two bands and I write strange meaningless scribblings. These are the two things that I suppose I'm any good at. I love to be around the people I hold dear, just as much as I enjoy my own company. I'm eager to see parts of the world I've only read about and meet people who can share their local knowledge. I listen to music nigh on constantly, and read, not as often as I'd like to. I despise people with bad manners. Rudeness should not be tolerated.

PHILOSOPHY

I'm out to lead a peaceful life. I'm young, but I know what will ensure I'm happy the day I die.
People rarely remember what you said, but always how you made them feel.

I'm travelling at present so am hoping to participate by crashing on people's couches!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I'm extremely new to the CouchSurfing community, but will update once I've gain a little experience! I have met so many awesome people whilst touring with bands, who have been kind enough to let us all sleep in their living rooms. I've also put up countless bands back home, knowing how valuable a roof and a warm place to crash is when living a hectic lifestyle on the road.

Interests

I love listening to music and reading books, cooking and watching films. I try to keep a travelogue while I travel and haven't failed in doing so yet.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Travelling around the UK and France on tour with my friends' band was awesome. Experiencing different ways of life, people, music and food. The idea of seeing a different part of a country each and every day seems, to me, and is, fantastic.
I flew to California recently, via Canada. Flying over Alaska was breathtaking. The frozen sea bridging Huge, icy mountains and then falling away into the endless tundra.

Teach, Learn, Share

I have been a chef for years, so am more than willing to cook/teach to cook. I know the origin of the phrase, 'The Graveyard Shift', which I'd be happy to divulge.
I play the drums, but unfortunately I don't take mine travelling with me.
I really want to learn to play the harmonica. I was bought one recently so have pledged to at least try to learn!
