ABOUT ME

- We are a couple with two lovely kids (10y/3y),
still learning to be 'good' parents ;
- KY works in the restaurant of a famous bank in Paris, his colleagues nicknamed him "Content Yip" (= "Happy Yip");
- HY works for a Hong Kong company introducing the concept of Harmony Lifestyle of health and sustainability;
- our children are discovering life, growing in a mixed of 'oriental' and 'occidental' culture.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Our 1st (kind of)"CS" experience (couch at a place provided by a 'stranger') was through the participation to a short mission of evangelization: we only knew the name of the person who will accommodate us, and the positive amazing experience started when we physically met our host!

We also have the experience to host a "stranger" that we met on the street, a desperate woman. It was in Hong Kong, on our way home, at the exit of the train station: we noticed a woman standing aside, she was alone and crying. We gave her a handkerchief, discussed with her, trying to encourage her. The discussion lasted several hours, until the train station was closed. As it was very late, for safety, we proposed her to stay that night at our place, and go back home in the morning.
We don't know if such hosting experience (host someone that we just met for the 1st time) could be considered as a kind of CS, but for us the similar points are: care for others and share with others.
We also hosted different friends at our place for a long or short period, due to troubles they encountered with their family.
