ABOUT ME

I'm from a little town just out side of Ft. Wayne, IN called Grabill. Lots of Amish, one stop sign, great nature reserve.
I am living down town now, and love it. The ability to get where I need to go by bike is great, and the people here are great.
I enjoy music (listening to or playing), some nature hikes, climbing, and reading. A bike ride along the River Green Way makes for a good day.

PHILOSOPHY

Don't pee into the wind.
Take every opportunity you have for adventure.
Never judge a person before you get to know them.
Take walks when ever you can, and enjoy the little things.
Don't be afraid to slow down and listen.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I build/ fix things around the house for friends, and I care for abandoned wounded animals. Save the Maumee is a river clean up organization that I feel good about participating in.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I had a little bad luck in Berlin that turned into a fun adventure. I was robbed of all my money and my train ticket while I slept, so I had to train hop back to Denmark (my home at that time).
I snuck onto trains headed toward Denmark until they ended for the night, and I was stranded in Glensburg.
I tried playing guitar to make a little money and I tried hitch-hiking with no luck. So, I went looking for a nice bench to sleep on for the night.
As I was walking along the cold dark street, I heard a lot of noise coming from inside a bar, so I stepped in to take a closer look.
The Eurocup Finals were on, so I sat down and watched. Some random guy bought me a drink then invited me to hang out with him and his friends. After hearing my story, he let me sleep on his couch, fed me, and let me clean up at his house. He left for work the next day and left me in his house till I was ready to start my journey back home.
I found that people in Germany will trust you with out a moments hesitation. That is one thing that I wish Americans were able to do, and that's why I love Couch Surfing. It's all about meeting new people, learning from them, and being able to enjoy your time with them.

I don't pretend to know anything for certain, but in my opinion: Loving and enjoying life is the point of to existence. Be the best version of you that you can imagine, and then some. Always think positively of yourself, the mind is a powerful thing. Science and philosophy can become one. Seek first inner peace, and think on good things.
