About Me

Another PhD student from the andean region of Ecuador. 29 years old, part of them either traveling or studying which are two my passions: water sciences and getting to know new and different cultures. Currently, I take part on a research about urban ecology in Latin America, but I live in Germany though... being a bit less formal, I am kind of a mixture of different indigenous roots and a pinch of colonial influence (I guess). It first sight, pretty introvertive and calm, but as soon as I get confident I turn into a more talkative and funny guy... even without the magic and secret live recipe (beer). Open-minded willing to live explore new experiences

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Some years ago I started to use Cs in my hometown astonished by the idea of getting to know the "weird" tourists that didn't want to spend time at 5star hotels. Then, for that unknown reasons in life, I stopped using the app because I focus more on my studies and travelingalong was for a long period not a priority. Nevertheless, I turn on one of that guys who want to discover places from a different and more local perspective.. and yeah, of course... the idea of saving some money allowing me to enjoy more time at such places is an unavoidable plus. Funny fact, I found here the so-called "love" in Cs four years ago when I host him in my homeland... and believe or not, it still works almost perfectly...

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Still happily and ironically surviving Germany

Teach, Learn, Share

As academic, I am more into develoing alterative and locally adapted green infrastructure in developing countries, but since I try to get a break from this from time to time, I prefer on my free time to experiment cooking new food or exchanging languages
