ABOUT ME

I'm just a kid from Montreal with a thirst for new experiences. I want to explore the world one country at a time, immersing myself in the language and the culture, eating the food, and most importantly meeting the people. I've spent extensive time exploring Italy and Russia, and dream of learning Hindi and spending a semester in India.
I'm currently studying Linguistics at duke University with the goal of knocking down as many languages as possible before I graduate.
I'm independent, easy going and willing to take risks. I love meeting new people and having conversations with people who are very different from me. Wherever I go, I like to get away from the tourist perspective and see each place in it's raw, exciting form. I love to go out and have fun, but also really value the great conversations that I have with interesting people over coffee and a local snack.

Languages. I would be happy to share everything I know about languages and the ways they work.

Languages I want to learn (in no particular order): Finnish, American Sign Language, Hindi, Portugese, Spanish, German and Swahili.

I want to learn how to dance. I've always been impressed with people who can really move. Salsa and swing would be my top choice.
