Circumnavigating the world in our sailboat; presently in Cairns, Australia -- learning about ourselves, each other, and the wonderful diversity of people, plants, and animals that make this world their home

ABOUT ME

We are two -- married 26 years -- two grown children -- passionate about sailing and adventure and new places and people, taking advantage of some lucky timing to take 3 years to sail the world.

PHILOSOPHY

Against the expanse of the universe, visible nightly in the skies over a moonlit ocean, we are mere specks, but even in that, things matter: family, community, relationships, experiences

Happy to host CSers for a day sail when we are nearby; quick with advice or a story; hosting crew looking for passage

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Before it was a website and a community, CSing was a way of life for sailors -- hopping boat to boat, port to port, making new friends and gaining new experiences ... nice to see a bit more institutionalization but sharing bunk space on passing boats is an age-old tradition in the sailing communituy
