ABOUT ME

I'm an extremely easy going and laid back person. I tend to listen more than I speak (..I think that's ok for now) but I am by no means shy. I'm very outgoing, and excited to be exposed to new environments, people, etc...

I will be receiving my Bachelor of Design in Architecture from the University of Florida this May. I will be pursuing my Master of Architecture degree at the University of Pennsylvania starting this fall. In relation to design, I am most interested in using digital tools as a generative device to create architecture that addresses contemporary issues regarding urban environments, from socio-economic and environmental issues to concerns with revitalizing public space.

PHILOSOPHY

I live my life because I think that life is just bizarre and amazing and beautiful. I have been quite fortunate thus far and have had a terrific family and great friends along the way. I acknowledge a necessity to balance both pessimism and optimism simultaneously in order to be content with what happens in and around me. But most of the time I live my life with a pretty forward thinking energetic outlook.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I was going to couchsurf last summer in Brussels and Bruges (I think) but I kind of messed up my plans while I was there. It was still an amazing experience, but the next time I go to Europe for a few weeks I'm bringing someone with me. My couch has been open to surf on for a while, but I haven't encountered any surfers yet (Gainesville really isn't a hot-spot travel destination...) But my couch is moving to Philadelphia in August so we'll see.
