CURRENT MISSION

Developing my interest in fine artisan vegan chocolate production. Constantly thinking up different flavors, new products, making them, improving my knowledge and technique in chocolates, candy and confectionary making.

ABOUT ME

I'm vegan due to health and animal welfare reasons, and love fusing the way I eat with my passion in food, with a particular bias in chocolates and confection. I equally love sharing and connecting with others with similar creative interests in sweets (esp donuts as of late!) and veganism (not necessarily both at the same time).

I've lived in Japan for 3 years as a scholarship holder so I speak and write fluent Japanese. I also graduated with a BA in Japanese Studies therefore have a lot of knowledge about different aspects of Japanese society (food culture, economy, history, contemporary society, aesthetics, visual culture).

As a person with a really healthy diet and average-ish lifestyle, I don't smoke or do drugs. I occasionally drink when socialising and am quite the typical, quiet, polite Asian (lol)

PHILOSOPHY

If what I put out in the world benefits just 1 person and added value to that person's life, it would all have been worth it :)

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

CS virgin until recently when I got to couchsurf in NYC and interact with a bunch of other CSers. It was pretty insightful and I really enjoyed chilling with people from different countries and cultures.

兴趣

Into food and making recipes, specifically, vegan food since I'm vegan! Vegan iterations of mostly everything but especially chocolate, donuts and ice cream as of late. I'm a cat person and have several cats around the house, including Pusheen who helps me out when I'm stressed out :)
