About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Traveling and studying across Europe and Anatolia.

ABOUT ME

I'm completing my last semester of university in pursuit of a Sociology degree, and am currently studying internationally in France. Stepping outside my home country was the greatest thing I ever did, and I hope I never have to go back home. I've caught the travel bug, apparently, because all I want to do is travel and see the world for the rest of my life.

PHILOSOPHY

I strive daily to improve myself, and become better than I was the day before. I always try to be conscious of the effects of my actions on others, and where I fit in the big picture. We all have to share the planet: it's childish to think we'll ever resolve all our differences, but in the end all reasonable people are citizens of the world, and the better we understand one another, the better our hopes for the future.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

As yet, I haven't had the honor of hosting. I donate money to CS, and make myself available to hopefully show travelers around my region, point them to the good restaurants, and so forth!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I came to know about this site from various people, including siblings, friends, my siblings' friends, and a couple of couchsurfers, Vanessa and Miles, that some friends hosted in Austin. I was fascinated by the couple's story of how the hospitality of members of the CS community had enabled them to see the country and follow their dreams, and I resolved to investigate for myself. The rest is history. :)

Interests

Food and cooking (I've been cooking for almost a decade), music, literature, staying up late to watch the sun rise, spending long hours in conversation over coffee at a local cafe, hiking and exploring caves

Teach, Learn, Share

I'm a very experienced cook, and love to cook with and for other people. I'm always looking to learn the secrets of every region's cooking! I'm a very patient teacher in academic areas, from Sociology and Philosophy to History and Political Science. I love to sing and dance.

I want to learn: everything. The history of your country. Where your parents were from. What the world looks like from your vantage point. What you believe in. What you don't buy into.

Countries I’ve Visited

Croatia, France, Turkey, United Kingdom
