About Me

I am a recent graduated student from University of Georgia, where I have spent my last 5 years learning Fine Arts. I was born in Nanjing, a city that has been built 2500+ years ago in Yangtze River Delta in east China. I love traveling, no matter it being a road trip or endless urban deriving.
This is my Facebook Page: https://www.facebook.com/jiachengc

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Well, I used to stay in hotels only, but frequently found them quite mundane to reside. Then I moved on to hostels, which is more fun to share stories and knowledges with peers, but it still depends on the luck for whom I met with. Finally, I decided to try couch surfing, which has more personal ties with the hosts, who usually have tons of local insights. Additionally, it also makes my travel more affordable as a student.

Interests

I'd like to try many things. Above all, I think, it's making art/design and reading books. Besides, I also play basketball and badminton, shoot some documentaries, sing some Cantonese songs and driving.

for Movies: Whiplash for 2014
for Books: The World is an Apple (Cezanne) and some other books written in Chinese

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

"Amazing Thing", hmmm. When I visited a Buddhism Temple in Wutaishan, China, I spent a night in a guest room with 12-15 Buddhists (not monks).

Teach, Learn, Share

Teach: some art making processes, such as paper-making, video-editting, drawing, Chinese and Chinese cuisine
Learn: Italian and French, different cuisines, thoughts (philosophical, art historical, sociological, psychological)
Share: my stories?

(This set of questions is confusing...)

What I Can Share with Hosts

I guess I can share my past experiences and current thoughts with the host, like the trip in Italy, living environment in mainland China, college life in the South, theories of art, my favored artists' lives, thinkings in Sociology (I am still a dabbler in this).

Countries I’ve Visited

Hong Kong, Italy, Macao, Puerto Rico

Countries I’ve Lived In
