You might be thinking ''He's an Asian guy, he must be a bookworm, martial artist, video gamer..'' I'm no expert, but I'm a civil engineer/A-E Project Manager in training, a kid with a few karate lessons under my belt, and an occasional gamer. My current interests include traveling, attending concerts/festivals, writing music, meeting new people, eating, learning everything the world has to offer, and contributing to a positive difference in the world. I'm a second generation Chinese-American, born and raised in Los Angeles County, California. My parents taught me my first languages - Chinese Cantonese and Mandarin - and that's the main language I communicate with them to this day. I studied abroad in England (Civil/Structural postgrad) for a semester 2017-2018. Brexit made things affordable. I travelled in Europe thereafter and am now back in Los Angeles working full time. I'm seeking to meet locals and couch surfers alike to create memorable experiences. I'd say I'm respectful, tidy, sociable, and interested in what I have to learn from others. I've stayed in hotels, hostels, and with hosts and one of the main highlights of my trips has typically been with hosts. I'm hoping to make meaningful connections, discover exciting new places, and have fun. It'd be great if I can hang out with hosts, but I'm just as good exploring on my own.

I understand hosts are offering me a place to stay so I want to give back as much I can. Treating my host to breakfast/lunch/dinner or an entertainment venue are just some things I can do to recompense my host for their kindness, time, and space.
