About Me

Hallo, I’m Jianqiang!

Originally from China, come to Germany for my PhD in chemistry (related to climate change). And then decided to stay and started my career as an engineer.

I’m a curious soul, passionate about discovering the world, connecting with new cultures, and sharing meaningful experiences along the way.

Traveling for me isn’t just about places—it’s about the people, stories, and moments that make every journey unforgettable.

Let’s create great memories together!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I’m here to explore the world not just through destinations but through the people I meet along the way. One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

1. Lived in the Amazon Rainforest for Three Months 🇧🇷
Participated in a scientific research project, conducting ambient measurements from a 325-meter observation tower deep inside the rainforest—a truly immersive experience in one of the world’s most biodiverse ecosystems.

2. Solo Hike Through Georgia’s Chaukhi Pass 🇬🇪
Tackled a challenging 25 km solo hike, climbing from 1,800 m to 3,330 m elevation in just 8 hours. Navigated the breathtaking landscapes and rugged terrain of the Caucasus mountains—a test of endurance and an unforgettable adventure.
Why am I alone? It’s a long story…
