ABOUT ME

As a frequent traveler, I would like to join this community: get help and offer help.

I'm warm-hearted, cheerful, healthy and a bit nerdy -- damage from too much schooling, and hope traveling would help.

I'm teaching at a local college in my hometown in South China. Got my PhD from the State University of New York at Buffalo, and may return to work in the US later on --not sure though, still exploring the world.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

It will be nice to stay at some kind hosts' place when I visit a city for the first time.

I'm willing to help if someone comes to my hometown region or needs help while traveling in China. I will also be glad to answer questions about China in general.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have read about couchsurfing.com and would like to participate. Get help and offer help + make friends --> make the world a better place.

A few years back while I was still a PhD student, I hosted a Chinese female student in my humble apartment in Buffalo, who came over for a conference. It was a pleasant experience as she turned out to be a nice lady and to my surprise, helped me when I went to Disneyland in Orlando later on. :)

My niece was born 2 weeks ago. It was so amazing to see a newborn.
