Overview
About Me
Hi! My name is Jiexi Cao and I am a third year Computer Science major at Harvey Mudd College.
I was born in China and moved to the U.S. when I was 7, and have lived in over eight different states over the course of 13 years. I don't really have a "permanent" home anywhere, so traveling and exploring new places is normal and still, ever-exciting!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I enjoy learning about others' experiences and also sharing mine. Visiting a new place only allows me to experience it from an outsider's point of view, but listening to those who live there opens up new ways to enjoy a place.
Interests
I love food and everything about it. I love cooking, eating, and taking mouth-watering photos of food. I enjoy a city mostly by wandering around interesting paths, going after whatever is interesting nearby.

Music, Movies, and Books
I have an eclectic music taste and enjoy anything in the realms of synthpop, electronic, new age, acoustic rock, EDM, etc.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
When I was 17, I was in charge of organizing, planning, and MCing an Asian cultural show that held an audience of 1,000+. Oh, and I also learned to Ribbon Dance for that show.
Teach, Learn, Share
My experiences have given me several identities--first generation college student, woman in technology, Asian-American, software engineer intern experience at Google, boarding school experience, and experience with working in Chinese fast-food restaurants in America. There's a lot I'm interested in talking about because of all my experiences :)
