About Me
Hi everyone, I am Jihea!
My name is pronounced [ji-hey]. It is a Korean name and it isn't pronounced as how is spelled so almost everyone has trouble saying it right at first.
I was born in South Korea and grew up there until I was in middle school. Ever since I flew over to United States and began to study abroad as an international student.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I always wanted to be part of couch surfing but have not found an opportunity until now! This winter from December 2014 to January 2015, I will be traveling in Europe and I want to get full experience of traveling, learning new culture, and meeting new people with aid of Couchsurfing. I am not yet ready to host myself but once I meet various awesome hosts, I'm sure they will help me on that :) Can't wait to begin this journey ahead of me and meet all of you guys!
Interests
I prefer doing something rather than to just sit in my room. I am always seeking for something to do. If one asks me to do something fun with him/her I'm usually down to do it rather that maybe just reading a book in a cafe, studying, museum-hopping, EATING, hiking, concert, grabbing a drink, party, traveling, and etc. Just simply doing something and experiencing makes me happy. I am not afraid to try new things and is openminded. Traveling and exploring is one of my favorite things to do whether it may be local or aboard. I am also a huge foodie. If you are a foodie yourself, we can probably be best friends ;) Though I like to eat, I'm not that great of a cook. However I am slowly improving. I am interested in learning new languages. I am currently learning German and have learned spanish and Chinese as well. They are still in that rough stage, but hopefully it will get better soon.

Music, Movies, and Books
My two favorite music genre are very different from each other. I like acoustics and rap music, and sometimes R&B as well. (l also listen to K-pop)
Some of the authors that I like are Paulo Coelho, Bernard Werber, Victor Hugo, and Franz Kafka(I have hard time understanding him though,,, still very interesting)
For movies, I like Harry Potter Series, Inception, Shutter Island, and etc.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Seeing penguins running around on the beach in South Africa. It was mind breaking. I can never forget it. I would love to go back and see it again.
Riding camel in dessert in Mongolia. I didn't know camels were that fast. It was scary but hey, I made it through alive ;)
Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach you some Korean, and even some english if you are not a native speaker. I am always open to learn new languages too!
I can make some origami figures if anyone is interested...
I need to learn to cook.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I can offer to teach Korean and English and can tell you about South Korea and LA for your future journeys there!
Oh, I can be your eating buddy for sure as well ;)
