ABOUT ME

I´m Chiel Duinkerken, a 21-year-old young man from The Netherlands. I just finished my study in June 2009 and am now trying to achieve one of my dreams; to travel around the world.

In the past few years travelling has become a major hobby of mine, if it´s financially possible I try to travel at least 4 times a year. I´ve been to several places around Europe already, whereof 3 times to Barcelona. Until now this is still my favourite world-city (next to Amsterdam of course ;)).

I´m an active person, I like to do things and to visit beautiful places. Next to that I also like to make fun and to have a drink so now and then. My main purpose in life is to have as much fun as possible, next to all the important things I do. After all, you only live once!

Friends are important for me in life; I´m a social person and I like people around me. I´m honest and righteous and I respect (other) people.

I like to meet new things, and new people; I want to `enlarge my world´. For now I think I mentioned the most important. If you want to know more, you could always add me as MSN contact!

PHILOSOPHY

Although I think most of my philosophy is already written in the previous sections.

Life is over before you can realise, but it doesn´t have to be short. In the years that I have I will try to make the best of it, and to enjoy it as must as possible. I want to see a lot of places and to make a lot of fun.

I also think all people in the world should be able to live like this. And like everyone knows; this ain´t the fact. If I can do anything in my position to help other people, I will do my best to do so..

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Like I said in the last section I´m now trying to achieve my dream to travel around the world.

First of all I like to meet other people that think the same. I´d like to read about earlier experiences and try to make better choices within my coming journey..

Next to that Couchsurfing.com helps me to meet other people, and eventually actually get in touch with them. It unlocks the door for me, now all I have to do is open it.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have no experiences yet with Couchsurfing. A classmate of mine shew me this site. It looked and looks interesting, so I´m looking forward to my first experience! ;)

Intereses

I have many interests-
The most imporant is just to have as much fun as possible; `You got to do what you want to do´.

I like to play a game of soccer, to play a game of poker, but I can also enjoy watching a good movie.

Furthermore I like to talk about many things concerning world problems such as now the Mexican Flu. I also like to talk about philosophical problems and things that keep people thinking.

I don´t know if i mentioned all. My main purpose is to enjoy, to get the most out of life. Therefore I love to visit beautiful and intrigating places.

Música, películas y libros

I always forget the movie titles, but I like many different ones! I don´t read a lot and if I do, I prefer magazines over books.

On the other hand, music is very imporant to me. I like many tastes, from hiphop to hardstyle. I can also really enjoy live music (for example with a guitar around a campfire).
