We are an Australian couple that is new to couch surfing. We've been travelling for the past 18 months - we quit our jobs to travel, because commuting for 4 hours a day to jobs we didn't really like wasn't for us any more!

我为什么加入 Couchsurfing

We've been experiencing the world via Workaway and AirBnb, and now we think it's time that we try couch surfing! We love the idea of getting to local people in the places we visit (which is why we use AirBnB and Workaway as well). For us travel is all about new experiences and meeting people from different walks of life.

兴趣

Obviously we love to travel, but we also enjoy taking photos, we like to walk and explore places on foot. We are also a little bit obsessed with Geocaching.

Music - a little bit of everything, but bands and singers like - Midnight Oil, Massive Attack etc.

Movies - nothing scary !

Books - Jill reads a lot and pretty much anything. Simon not so much. Favourite authors - Joanne Harris, Alexander McCall Smith.

Stood on the edge of an active volcano on the island of Tanna in Vanuatu. An amazing experience, but definitely a once in a lifetime one.

We'd love to learn about you, your city, and your country. We like to see how normal people live and we'd be really happy if you're willing to share your favourite places with us, suggest some local food to try etc.

Well, we're not really sure - but we're interested in discussing things large and small. We're more than happy to cook a meal ( Pacific Island food, or something Asian / Australian inspired) and if you'd like to hear some stories of our travels then we'll share those with you as well !
