About Me
Feb 2020: Moving to Reno, officially in the transition from teaching environmental science to working in environmental science! A new adventure to work on wetland restoration in the desert :) As I'm writing this, beginning the plans for the road trip to Reno!
Sept 2019 back on the road. Looking forward to meeting more amazing people who can offer a couch :)
Feb 2019
**If requesting me as a host** best to send request 3-10 days before coming. Any earlier, and I probably won't know my schedule.
I love the outdoors, math, science and languages. There's soooo much I want to learn, but I struggle with devoting my time and energy to learning when I rarely have wifi and "The mountains are calling, and I must go" (John Muir).
As of Jan 2019, I work teaching environmental ed to children inside of Olympic National Park. Wow!
Learning to trust more, adventure more, spend money on the things that make me happy and make the world a little better.
I'm trying to say "yes" to more opportunities, to plan less and do more. I live to feel ALIVE every day.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
New friendships have been my most meaningful experiences while traveling.
And I have benefitted so much from being hosted, and I am now able to give back and host.
Interests
Hiking, backpacking, yoga, running, biking, swimming, climbing, scrambling, digging or just being outside in nature. I play like a child. I'm more interested in the challenge of the hike, the company of friends, and whatever I see/hear/smell along the way than the views at the summit.

Teach: Outdoor skills, math, science, language
Learn: Outdoor skills, math, science, language. And general life skills. I could use more of these.
Share: Previously wrote: "Life is what happens to you while you are busy making other plans." - John Lennon
Now pondering if it's time to make more of a plan...
