关于我
我为什么加入 Couchsurfing
I discovered Couchsurfing a few years ago, but never got around to actually using it. When I first moved to NYC, I met a Kiwi online and let him unofficially couch surf in my (studio) apartment for a week. It definitely wasn't the safest idea, but I lucked out and he was a fantastic guest. I had a fantastic time discovering a city I have long known through a fresh set of eyes.
In recent years, I have learned how to keep my bank account out of the red zone and have saved up a bit of money to travel a bit. I'm somewhat impulsive and indecisive with trips and not many people in my life can fly across the world at the drop of a hat, so I often wind up traveling alone. I'm very extroverted, but can be a bit shy to approach people and introduce myself. I love the concept of couch surfing because it gives me the opportunity to meet wonderful people while taking off a bit of the pressure for me to extend myself.
I'm living in Connecticut for the next few months which is right in between Boston and NYC. While I do have several beds and couches available, I can't say that Connecticut is a particularly riveting area unless you are a fan of New England History, strip malls, and cookie-cutter neighborhoods. However, if you are en route to a more Instagram-worthy location and need a place, anyone is definitely welcome to stay in a private room here and a very curious dog. I'm in a moderate-sized suburban house, so a number of people are welcome to stay.

I get frustrated when I cannot make everything I dream up. So, I'd really like to get some more practical skills under my belt like sewing, furniture building, computer programming, pharmacology, languages....

音乐、电影和书籍
I like any media as long as it's good haha. Basically the stranger or more thought-provoking it is, the more I like it. Comedy is great- I am a loyal SNL fan through the good and bad.
I have a terrible habit of leaving books unfinished and have stubbornly lugged around my extensive library in hopes that I would finish them. I'm currently juggling three books (with varying success): The Time Traveler's Wife, Fear and Loathing on the 1978 Campaign Trail (eerily similar to the 2015 campaign trail...), and a book about a former polygraph examiner for the US CIA called Gatekeeper

I follow a lot of travel sites, particularly ones directed towards food and urban life, so I can suggest or bond with you over the city's best food and coffee (VERRRY important).
