ABOUT ME

I'm in love with the outdoors and good books. Science is my favorite thing to learn about (especially space and the human body), and I'm currently obsessed with British television. Laughter, to me, is the greatest pleasure in life, and I love to do it a lot. I dearly love adventure but enjoy relaxing in the mountains near my home just as much as I like climbing them. Berg heil!

PHILOSOPHY

Life is about living to your greatest potential and forgiving yourself for the mistakes you're bound to make. Scars are stories, and I sure as Hell have a lot of those, which isn't always a bad thing. I like to live on the edge and wish I had more opportunities to do crazy things.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I'll just be doing surfing for this summer but will be getting my own place at the start of the new semester, allowing me to host some cool new people. I'm super stoked about that.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've never participated in anything to do with this site but I have hosted some friends of friends, and I've done my fair share of sleeping on couches in strange towns. One particularly fun memory is when three friends and I went to Missoula for the Dirty Dash and crashed at a friend-of-a-friend-of-a-friend-of-a-friend's house. Adventure!

Interessen

Reading, camping, travelling, learning, EVERYTHING. I wish I could major in everything here at university but that would entail me spending my entire life spending money. Nooot my favorite thing. My favorite summer activities include swimming, hiking, camping, ocean boogy-boarding (in the freezing Pacific too), and cliff jumping on the river. I hate mosquitoes though, so that complicates the hiking thing a bit ...

Musik, Filme und Bücher

I LOVE Doctor Who, Lord of the Rings, Harry Potter (the books, of course), the Chronicles of Narnia, and many other fun things. Star Wars and Star Trek are always a good choice, especially when I'm in a Sci-Fi mood - which is always.

Eine tolle Erfahrung, die ich gemacht habe

When I was in middle school, my parents let me and my two older siblings get our scuba diving licenses. I've dived in the Puget Sound (Seattle), Maui, and off the Yucatan Peninsula. Honestly, scuba diving is the coolest thing I have ever done; I have swam with tiger sharks, sea turtles, giant eels, and octopi, and I have heard whales singing. Seriously, if you have the chance, get certified and go diving; you won't regret it!

Lehren, lernen, teilen

I love to cook, especially when I'm just given some ingredients and I have to make something with just those. I worked as a cook for four years and love to teach people how to cook delicious and easy meals. I'm pretty good at speaking Spanish but would love to learn a different language too, and it doesn't really matter which.
