ABOUT ME

We are an engaged couple who love adventure, travel, animals, making new friends and good food! We met in NYC and have had a BLAST living in the Big Apple for nearly two years. Sal's just taken a leave of absence from his job, and we're off to see the world for the next four months! As we go, I'll be photographing everything I can for my photography portfolio that I'm building. Sal's job has been really exciting allowing him to live all over the globe. Oz was his favorite country of all to live in so far, but he misses Amsterdam all the time too and can't wait to hop on a bike and ride through the streets again! We also love music - jazz/rock/pop. I'm (Jill) also trying to grow my Italian language skills, so I'd welcome any efforts toward conversing in Italiano!! Oh yeah, and Sal's a really good dancer -- you've gotta see him swing those hips!! :-O

PHILOSOPHY

This is a humdinger of a question to put in this unassuming little box...
I (JiLL) live my life to love the people I interact with, grow in wisdom and maturity, to experience joy since I believe that is God's purpose for our lives...and to move toward whatever greater good I've been put here to do. I also want to see it all, or at least as much as possible!

We are here to surf and then once we return from our travels host from wherever our couches may land!! =)

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

So far my only experience is meeting one CouchSurfer in Washington, D.C. who came to take a dance class at a studio I used to volunteer for. The guy seemed laid back, adventurous and like he was having the time of his life. From just that brief exchange of collecting his money for class I've never forgotten him or the mention of CouchSurfers. Now we're here to experience it for ourselves!!

Interests

Oh, as I guess I prematurely mentioned above we are interested in the following: people, food, animals, family, travel, baseball (Go Phillies!!), photography, movies, history, architecture, plants, health and holistic health topics (supplements, massage treatments, etc.), spirituality and religion, reading, dancing, talking for hours (that's more my bag than Sal's!), writing, blogging, the news, coffee!, Belgian beers and other great tasting brews, delicious wine, the ocean!! living life with joy and purpose!
