About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Find the most comfortable couch in NYC!
ABOUT ME
I don't know how to put this but I'm kind of a big deal. People know me...
By people I mean my family and group of friends I've accumulated over the years. Actually, I wouldn't consider myself a center of attention guy - rather, a confident and modest guy that likes different experiences. Too much to see and do wo why not!
Grew up and still live in Baltimore - actually drives me a bit crazy which is why I'm getting my MBA at NYU in New York. Married to my wonderful wife with our dog and fenced in backyard. Ahhh, domestic suburban glory!
Hobbies include playing most sports, love soccer, can watch it all day, brewing beer, huge fan of diverse craft brews, domestic and import. Enjoy investing and language. Would love to better learn spanish and be around others that are fluent!
PHILOSOPHY
Good things happen to good people - give to others without self-interest and you'll be fulfilled. Definitely live by these principles, grew up from a blue collar modest background and understand the hardwork and dedication to make something in this world. Feels great to give that back to help others on the journey, just as others had given to me.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I'm simply hoping to enjoy some couch time in NYC in fall/spring Saturday nights and enjoy a few great beers and conversations. Nothing better than mindful conversation over a nice beer.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
New to this experience, although I have informally couch surfed in college. Definitely always respectful though, clean, put everything back, never leave a mess, etc, etc
Interests
I think I rambled on this one a bit above!
- dogs
- beer
- traveling
- homebrewing
- investing
- sports
- soccer
Music, Movies, and Books
Enjoy ridiculous comedies, old and new. Not a huge book reader but enjoy magazines, papers on current events. Really enjoy the economist. Huge reggae fan, also enjoy british rock.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Really enjoy international travel - seen outstanding sites/cultures in Spain, England, Italy, Mexico. Studied abroad in Mexico and stayed with an amazing family for a month!
Teach, Learn, Share
I was once intermediate in spanish language and would love to work on those skills. I'm also a manager in accounting/finance and could provide some great insight to others in the field. Also I enjoy investing and would look forward to talking about investment strategy, macro policies, etc, etc.
