About Me

ABOUT ME

I love to cook, travel and to meet new people. I read voraciously and love to play the guitar. I am addicted to used book stores. I have always had a rather eclectic & diverse mix of friends. I am deeply interested in global health issues, reducing health inequities, and international relations and politics.

Music, Movies, and Books

Let's see, there's so many to choose from... Cool Hand Luke, The Goonies, I <3 Huckabees, Colbert Report, Daily Show, South Park, Donnie Darko, Super Troopers, Pulp Fiction, Jackie Brown, Waking Life, Monkey Dust, People Just Do Nothing, inter alia.

I love listening to almost anything on college radio (especially WKNC), Hank Williams, Muse, Dandy Warhols, The Strokes, Ben Folds, Ahmad Zahir, Ustad Sarahang, Red Hot Chilli Peppers, Little Brother, Mozart, Handel, Wu Tang, Public Enemy, Johnny Cash, Bibio. Really into psychedelic Anatolian rock and Persian disco/funk these days... I'm pretty eclectic...
