About Me
CURRENT MISSION
I like listening to people and looking at old buildings
ABOUT ME
Once I was hit by a cop car while going for a walk. I used to be a librarian, barista, grocery boy, custodian, newspaper deliverer, but now I teach. Still, I push in chairs and pick up pieces of trash and cannot resist wiping up a spilled coffee. I used to be in a lot of punk bands, mine moved to Vegas and I said "so long," and now place my extra time into writing 'zines and thinking about reading Tolstoy. I ride a bike and sometimes want a subscription to National Geographic. I took pilates at the Y and was awful at them.
PHILOSOPHY
"Uh."
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I like group travels ('zine tours, band tours, trips toward a conference, trips toward nothing in particular but an exciting new city). Guests are usually pretty inspiring. There are a lot of lives I've wanted to try living.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I've had strangers on my couch for years, then I found this website. The statistics of awesome people to jerks is pretty similar; most people are kind, respectful, and fun to host.

Music, Movies, and Books
The Clash - s/t + Joseph Conrad + Orson Welles + Go Sailor - Fine Day for Sailing 7" + Amy Hempel's Collected Short Stories + Doris + Poems with streets and people in them. My favorite movies are probably film noir, but I can get into anything.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I have a friend who uses the word amazing to describe almost everything. What do you think about that?
Teach, Learn, Share
Talk to me about education, writing, reading. I like to listen and speak on these topics.
