I'm an adventure seeker and a perpetual optimist. I'm traveling across the country armed with a trunk full of books and my guitar.

Back home, I am a social worker in the city of Detroit. I work for the non-profit agency Matrix Human Services. I help run the Youth Assistance Program and I'm a direct care worker for their Off The Streets program (residential home for runaway, at-risk, and homeless teenagers in the city).

Prior to social work I served in the United States Navy. During my enlistment I was fortunate enough to travel the globe. That is where I caught the adventure bug. Now, I'm trying to quench my thirst for road.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I decided to Couchsurf because I have heard many great things about the experiences people have while traveling. I want to move across the US meeting the people of this great land. I would like to travel from place to place sharing my adventures with the folks gracious enough to host me for a night or two.

Interests

I'm interested in everything. Aside from being a nerd (geology, biology, astronomy, psychology, etc.) I play the guitar, piano, ukulele, and a few others. I love sports and exercise. I enjoy hiking, camping, and all the things that come along with the road.
