One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I landed an aerial while surfing.
The moments leading upto the trick was mind boggling. My body just knew what to do each milli second. I pumped until I had enough momentum, then lifted myself before the wave was about to crash (break and creates white foams = no good for landing tricks).
Next thing I know, I'm up in the air for a split second, and then I land.
It was rad. I felt happy for several days.
Teach, Learn, Share
I lived in Korea for 11 years until immigrating to the U.S.
So I guess that I could talk about how it was back then (yep teachers did really hit students! And food is great. Surprisingly, L.A. has better Korean food than S. Korea does in some aspect).
I moved around quite a bit in the u.S.
I went to elementary & middle school in Hawaii (Waikiki beach was my home for 3 years. Best memories of my childhood)
I then went to high school in Las Vegas, which I believe is the worst city in the world. I don't understand the hype of vegas trips tbh.
I lived in CA since 2008, because I went out of state to attend UCSD.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I'm young and I feel as if I haven't seen much, but I'm down to share some cool experiences.
e.g. - going to a small city in China called Dandong, which is literally across the North Korean border. Eating at a North Korean-run (by the NK govt), with young women as waitresses... it was trippy to meet a North Korean.
Traveling in Japan was sensational in unexpected ways. I finally understand why onsen is huge in japan. There's nothing like sitting in an outside onsen by yourself early in the morning. The serenity...
