ABOUT ME

Hi you! Glad to have you checking my profile page ;) Little background info here if you are interested : My name is Jing (or you can call me Nancy), I'm Chinese and I'm currently living in Shanghai. I started my couchsurfing adventure during my exchange study year in Europe and I've been loving it ever since. I used to live in Finland and Philadelphia for school. I'm not currently available to host any guest cuz I'm sharing an apartment with my roommate, but I'll always be happy to hangout and meet new friends. All those wonderful people I met and stories I heard are what keeps me here. Also, I just started to learn to play Ukulele, so let me know if you are interested so we could play or sing together :D

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

It has been an great experience every time I meet people from Couchsurfing. One of the best decisions I've ever made was to travel alone in five or six European courires and Couchsurfing made that experience irreplaceable.

Interests

Music, Movies, and Books

My music taste is undefinable... but generally, some of the artists that I really like are: Lily Allen, Leonard Cohen, Amy Winehouse, Eminem and Pomplamoose (a cute couple who makes wonderful music on YouTube, you should check'em out). I like them cuz they are such unique characters, talented and have a voice of their own.

I also enjoy reading at my free time, my favorite writers are: JK Rolling (of course), Iwai Shunji, Su Tong, George Orwell and last but not the least Wang Xiaobo.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I used to swam in the Arctic Ocean in December when the temperature was about -30 Celsius degrees.

Teach, Learn, Share

The best thing about meeting new people is that I can always learn new things and it’s always fun and inspiring . It's always interesting to get to know a different language, a different culture and people's travel stories. I just started to learn to play a Ukulele a while ago so let me know if you want me to bring my instrument and play together!
