Hiii everyone, I'm Jingwen and currently a senior in a small liberal arts college in Ohio. I grew up in Wuhan, China, and came to America to study. I majored in (comparative) Religious Studies with a concentration in Buddhism. I believe studying religion is a good way to understand societies and cultures. I also love doing comparative works with different religious traditions.

Fun fact:
I love squirrels and once had a pet squirrel! Believe me, they are not that common to spot in my hometown, and the only one I've seen was the pet squirrel...Now they are everywhere on my college campus...

I'm taking a gap year after graduation, and hopefully I can travel to SE Asia, Central Asia and Middle East.

I've heard many positive things from my friends so I decided to give couchsurfing a shot! I love learning new cultures and having authentic experience with the locals. Therefore I believe the best way to do so is through making friends with the local people. I also love sharing my experience and culture with others.

I love traveling, hiking, reading and watching Netflix (especially when I have a lot of homework due...).
I love eating out and exploring local restaurants. Besides eating out, I also enjoy cooking myself.
I love to travel solo, but I also love companions and making friends with the locals and other travelers.

I traveled across Himachal Pradesh and Ladakh in India in 2014 with my study abroad group. Ever since the study trip, I've grown more into traveling and hopefully I'll come back one day.
