Overview
About Me
Likes: everything arts and craft related, sailing, cooking, volunteering, trying to play the guitar, wandering around outside, self improvement, cooking (did I say cooking? cause, I really like cooking), boardgames, undoing my societally-influenced urge to participate in capitalism, cats
Dislikes: writing bios (no one likes this), being negative, running out of brickworks cider, having to think of things to say that fully encompass who I am without actually engaging with a human,
mean cats
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I'm finally doing it, quitting everything and going travelling for a year! If not now, then when? I hope to meet some amazing new people through this couching phenomenon, and give back to the global community upon my return home to Toronto. Whether we meet each other or not, kudos to you for making others' travel dreams a reality. <3

Music, Movies, and Books
Books: Name of the Wind, Honeymoon in Purdah, Milk and Honey
Movies: So many...Brigsby Bear, Submarine, Amelie, The Princess Bride, anything Monty Python, also down for anything overly badass and action-packed
TV: STRANGER THINGS, Please Like Me, Rick and Morty, Lost, Freaks and Geeks
Music: I go through phases of finding new stuff, getting obsessed with it, and then not listening to much of anything for months. I used to be VERY in to underground hiphop and niche electronic stuff. Lately: Alabama Shakes, Heartless Bastards, Shakey Graves, this freaking song:

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I sang at Carnegie Hall with my Children's Choir when I was 12. More recently, I volunteered with a local public school and made a big collaborative art piece with some amazing grade 4 kids. That was awesome!
Teach, Learn, Share
I could teach you how to cook a ton of things, including fresh pasta, sushi, hollandaise sauce (or cashew cheese, for the beautiful vegans)! How to tie sailors knots; how to use your sewing machine; how to write calligraphy with brush pens; how to draw from life; how to make a paper crane...probably other stuff too!
I want to learn Spanish, and I always love learning new recipes. (: Also travelling alone tips, and honestly whatever you're passionate about, I'd love to hear about it.
What I Can Share with Hosts
Laughs, hugs, stories, resourcefulness, player count for board game night, dinner making, future couch surfing!
