About Me

ABOUT ME

I like music, movies, traveling. I'm an easy going, friendly and open-minded person. I'm not very talkative but I can talk a lot with people having similar hobbies and points of views.

I like meeting people from different countries. I like to listen your stories, your experiences towards your attitudes of life. I am curious and I like to learn something from you! I enjoy meeting friends from different countries and keep in touch in future.

My first experience of traveling alone was in 2008 in China. It was a great experience to me as I have to plan everything myself and traveling through the unknown cities. So, I started to enjoy travel alone as you can go wherever you like and whenever you want. And I like to stay in couchsurfing and hostels instead of hotels to meet people from different world. After I studied in Australia for 2 years. My 2nd long travel was going to New Zeland (1st English speaking country to me). It was really a great experience especially I learnt something different compared to the living style in Asia.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I didn't start couchsurfing early. My 1st experience was in December 2014 in France. I can say the hosts were really nice, kind and helpful, and I can say they are even better than the other local people as they understand the travelers in couchsurfing. We can learn the local culture fastly in depth through the talks. And sometimes you will never know who you met may affects your attitudes towards your life. As I believe the people passing through our lives have their purpose to be there, to teach us something, and enrich the our lives be more meaningful. And I do have these kind of experiences and some friends still keep in touch from this website!

Interests

I like traveling but not frequently, at least once / twice a year for having a short break during my work period. I like listening people's stories, enjoy hanging out with my good friends and having conversations. Sometimes, I enjoy to be alone too, e.g. watching films, reading novels, listening music, writing, and thinking. But, I like outdoor activities too, e.g. swimming, hiking, climbing, playing balls, etc. Yes....there are several characters (active and passive) living in my soul... :)

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: Soft, R&B ("Mayday" is my most favorite band in Taiwan), Taiwanese pop songs, and start listening American folk and Jazz now (e.g. Tony Bennette). But I don't know music very much and it would be a pleasure if you can introduce your flavorite one to me.

Book: The Five People You Meet in Heaven (Mitch Albom)

Movies : (Too much to share as I studied films and drama before, I like lots of genres, from Love story to horrible, from suspense to fantasy, but I do like to films espeically shooted by these directors: Martin Scorsese, Steven Allan Spielberg, James Francis Cameron, Kar-Wai Wong(Hong Kong), Peter Chan (Hong Kong); Ang Lee (Taiwan), Giddens Ko (Taiwan) )

Here are typical movies I like:
Historical: Seediq Bale (Taiwan), A Dangerous Method
Musical: Les Misérables, Chicago, Perhaps Love (HK)
Science fiction: Interstellar, Cloud Atlas
Fantasy: Avantar, The Lord of the Rings, Life of Pi
Suspenses: Vanilla Sky, Shutter Island, Inception, The Silent War (HK), The Message (China), Revolutionary Road

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I've did sky diving (similar to "bungi jump") in New Zeland. I tried the most scary one which is called "freestyle", that means: you jump by yourself with any styles you like, no chairs, no someone else to accompany. I thought I stood at the bridge for few minutes and jumped finally the teacher pushing me down. It's the first time experiencing the feeling like suiciding from 20/F high building. It's sooo scary at the beginning, but, after I jumped over, I really want to try again!!! That's me!! most of time who's rational and calm, but a few of times being crazy to enrich our life to be balanced!

Teach, Learn, Share

I like the word sharing instead of teaching. we can share our experiences from travel and work (as I worked for drama series for several years), I like to hear the story from people around the world (the reasons you travel and come to the place, and your past stories...etc...)

What I Can Share with Hosts

My stories, experience on travel and work (as I worked for drama series for several years, if you doing this kind of things, it will be lots to share :) )
If you're interested in languages, I can teach you several languages of mine (Mandarin / Cantonese / Shanghainese); oh yeh..I can cook you a meal if time's available, it won't be a traditional chinese meal but will be delicious for you. :)

For the visit, I can take you to have a walk in the city, have a drink or walk along "La Rhone", the place I really suggest you to walk along during the afternoon especially sunset. You can take a free charge ferry (and go to the "île de la Bardelasse" (just opposite to "Pont d'Avignon", the famous broken bridge") and lay down on the grass to enjoy the sun. and Avignon is a nice place to visit by bike! oh yeah! if you eat at home, i
