I have lived in England for 17 years. I am an American citizen. Originally, moved because of girlfriend; got married; divorced after 13 years together. Now, rediscovering solo travel.
I teach Primary School (the older ones). I love the large amount of holiday, which allows loads of travel.

Travel is freedom... one of the last great sources of legal adventure. Travel is intensified living, with maximum thrills per minute. It's recess, and we need it.
Of course, travel, like the world, is a series of hills and valleys. I am fanatically positive and militantly optimistic. If something's not to my liking, change my liking. Travel is addicting. It makes me happier, as well as a widening my citizenship of the world. Our Earth is home to nearly 7.5 billion equally important people. It's humbling to travel. Globetrotting destroys ethnocentricity. It helps me understand and appreciate different cultures. Travel changes people. It broadens perspectives and teaches new ways to measure quality of life. I have tossed aside my hometown blinders. My prized souvenirs are the strands of different cultures I have decided to knit into my own character.

On my 40th birthday I did the Bloukrans Bridge Bungy, the world's highest commercial bridge bungy at 216 metres (709 ft) above the Bloukrans River. It is situated at Bloukrans Bridge on the N2 Highway at the border between the Eastern Cape and the Western Cape in the Tsitsikamma area of South Africa's Garden Route.
