Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I've learned from touring around the states with my band not to let expectations get in the way of having a good time. I like learning about people.

I'm looking to meet cool people and their couches. I love traveling and seeing nature, but it's always more interesting to see how the locals live. I love traveling on my own, but can be hard to get that perspective from a hotel, and it is hard to find the good local spots from a tourism book. I like a drink sometimes at night and a cup of coffee in the morning.

I haven't hosted in several years. But if you ever come to Nashville, I know great local music and good dive bars, coffees, parks, and cheap restaurants. I'm self-employed, and I got a van if you need to get someplace.

I like reading Murakami, Steinbeck, Tennessee Williams, Hesse, Tosches and the Bronte Sisters. East of Eden is the only book I reread every year.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can teach you about old timey country music, the south, and darts. We can play guitar or drums together. Or basketball. I can bring Jack Daniels and Goo Goo Clusters from my hometown.
