ABOUT ME

I have had a few previous lives -- a journalist, a publishing sales rep, and, most recently, a Democratic political campaign consultant. I came to Madrid in September 2009 to build a new and exciting life, which is certainly what I have found! I'm a private English teacher, mainly in businesses. I was a tapas and pub crawl tour guide for six months here, so I am an excellent guide for newcomers. I hope to take Spanish classes eventually, but would enjoy patient intercambio language partners now.

I'm available to take on new English students, as well as to meet new people!

I'm looking to meet new people, discover new things in our old city, and work on some Spanish! I'm excited to share my favorite city.

My roommate and I host often over the summer. I haven't stayed with a CouchSurfer yet, but I am interested in doing so in Spain and maybe elsewhere in Europe.
