About Me
CURRENT MISSION
finishing studies while travelling, running, organizing stuff for exchange students
ABOUT ME
i'm originally from the north of germany, but I'm here in Heidelberg to study. So I'm not speaking this weird accent here :)
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
well, I have at least an air matress and some space on the floor. and now even some sofa in the kitchen!
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
just little couch surfing experience, but I had a few people living for a short time at my flat because they knew a friend of mine. 'kind of old-style couch-surfing :) and some AEGEE internal stuff as well ...
Interests
Apart from studying I'm continueing to learn finnish, I like to go running. Cooking and baking is something else where I try to be creative, even though it sometimes get's limited to basic stuff, time is limited. An important component of cooking is for me the social aspect, thus we try in our flat to eat our meals together when possible.
The last few month I was an active Member of AEGEE, 'forum of european students', organizing stuff for exchange students and keeping contact with other AEGEE members in other countries by organizing so called 'summer universities' for example.
Juggling is another hobby, even though I havn't found much time for it lately. Quite relaxing :)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Having worked as a carer for the elderly in an old people's house for about one year. Maybe one of the best experiences so far, even though I did not really want to do it in the beginning. Later on I continued even voluntarily.
Having studied a month in Oulu and one year in Helsinki was another great experience. especially the summer part :)
Teach, Learn, Share
Since I've been born and raised in Germany I thus can teach german. I have some tandem experience, thus I know maybe some problems foreigners have usually to fight with.
Some people say that I can cook well (I always find something which could've been better, on that area i'm maybe a bit of a perfectionist, sometimes), thus that'd be also something to share.
My English isn't too bad, even though I don't know if teaching would be the right expression for that area :)
I'm learning finnish and trying to keep my french knowledge alive, but the latter is mainly a failing project.
